(Terrassa, 1981) She is the author of six novels: ‘Bienvenidos a Welcome’ (Elipsis 2008 / Literatura Random House, 2019), ‘Wendolin Kramer’ (Seix Barral, 2011), ‘La Chica Zombie’ (Seix Barral, 2013), ‘El Show de Grossman’ (Aristas Martínez, 2013), ‘Connerland’ (Literatura Random House, 2017), and ‘La señora Potter no es exactamente Santa Clau’s (Literatura Random House, 2021). This, her latest novel, has been honored with the Ojo Crítico de Narrativa Prize 2021, Finestres de Narrativa en Castellano Prize 2021, Las librerías Recomiendan for the best fiction book of 2021 Prize, and Kelvin 505 Prize, as well as with a Special Mention from the Premios Ciutat de Barcelona. She has just published her first volume of short stories, a collection titled ‘Damas, caballeros y planetas’ (Random House, 2023), consisting of 17 stories including the nouvelle ‘El mundo se acaba pero Floyd Tibbts no pierde su trabajo’. Her work has been translated into French, Italian, and English. Her stories have the punch of a Douglas Adams who had read more than enough of Stella Gibbons, and the ambition of a complex world apart from a Thomas Pynchon fan of Stephen King. She is also a journalist and literary and music critic, and a passionate interviewer of writers. She currently writes mainly for El País, although she has collaborated in countless media outlets in the past. In the past, she also worked in a video store and formed a band. She has two children and a bunch of books by Philip K. Dick.
