Born in 1979 in Barcelona, Martí Sales has tackled various disciplines: he released several albums with Els Surfing Sirles, studied Comparative Literature, and written works such as ‘Huckleberry Finn’ (Moll, 2005), ‘Dies feliços a la presó’ (Empúries, 2007), ‘Ara és el moment’ (Amsterdam, 2011), ‘Principi d’incertesa’ (Males Herbes, 2015), ‘La cremallera’ (Males Herbes, 2016), and ‘Aliment’ (Club Editor, 2021). Additionally, he has translated works by authors such as John Fante, Kurt Vonnegut, Kae Tempest, Harold Pinter, Shirley Jackson, Patti Smith, Ray Bradbury, and John Berger. He has engaged in acting with the theater company Amaranto and has participated in numerous recitals and gatherings. He has also been involved in conceptual art magazines like Al Buit (2001-2003) and has directed the International Poetry Festival of Barcelona (with Eduard Escoffet, 2010-2012) and the Poesia i + of the Fundació Palau i Fabre, with Mireia Calafell and Pere Almeda. Currently, he is a member of the Consell de Cultura de Barcelona.
