Tamara Silva Bernaschina (Uruguay, 2000). She is the author of ‘Desastres naturales’ (Estuario editora, 2023), her first book of short stories, which won two Bartolomé Hidalgo Awards in 2023: Narrative and Revelation. The following year, she received the National Literature Award in the Debut Work category and was published in Mexico by Paraíso Perdido. Her novel ‘Temporada de ballenas’ (Estuario editora, 2024) received an honorable mention in the Juan Carlos Onetti literary contest. ‘Larvas’ (Páginas de Espuma, 2025) is her latest book, published simultaneously in Spain and Latin America. She has participated in national and international book fairs. She coordinates writing workshops. She lives in Montevideo.
